How much will it cost?

Counseling Consultation

The initial consultation is our first opportunity to meet face-to-face, discuss your current situation, and determine your counseling needs. I believe a strong counselor-client relationship is important, so this session also helps us decide if we are a good fit to work together. If either of us feels another counselor would better serve your needs, I am happy to provide referrals.

The initial consultation is offered at the lowest rate on my Sliding Scale Schedule, and we will also discuss ongoing counseling fees and options that fit your family’s budget.

Sliding Scale Fee

As a small counseling practice with low overhead costs, I am able to offer a Sliding Fee Scale to help make counseling more affordable and accessible for individuals and families. Fees are determined based on annual household income as well as the number of dependents living in the home, allowing us to find a rate that is fair and manageable for your financial situation.

Counseling sessions are based on a standard 60-minute appointment, with rates on a sliding scale that starts at $75 and goes up from there. My goal is to provide quality care in a way that is both reasonable and sustainable for the families I serve.

If you want to know exactly how much a session would be based on your specific household situation, please reach out to me.

I do not accept insurance for counseling services due to the extensive regulations and administrative requirements involved, which can limit flexibility in care. That is why I focus on offering an affordable Sliding Fee Scale that is fair and accessible for both clients and myself. Also, I do accept HSA and FSA cards for payment.

Choosing private pay also supports your privacy, as no information is submitted to insurance companies or insurance-related databases, such as the Medical Information Bureau, which could potentially affect future eligibility for life, health, disability, or long-term care insurance.
